Pumpkin Bars with Cream Cheese Frosting

I love Fall/Thanksgiving time. What I love most about this time of the year is all the yummy delicious desserts that I can make. The other day my friend was saying that she was going to make a recipe for Pumpkin Bars. I absolutely love Pumpkin Bars with cream cheese frosting on top. The recipe below is one of my favorite recipes for making Pumpkin Bars with cream cheese frosting.

Ingredients

Bars:
4 eggs
1 2/3 cups granulated sugar
1 cup vegetable oil
15- ounce can pumpkin
2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
2 tea. baking powder
2 tea. ground cinnamon
1 tea. salt
2 tea. baking soda

(Ingredients for Pumpkin Bars)

Icing:
8-ounce package cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
2 cups sifted confectioners' sugar
1 tea. vanilla extract

(Icing Ingredients)

Instructions for Bars:

1. Preheat over to 350 degrees.

2. In a large bowl, combine eggs, sugar, oil and pumpkin until light and fluffy.

(Combine eggs, sugar, oil and pumpkin)
 

3. Stir together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, salt and baking soda.

(Combine all dry ingredients)


4. Spread batter into a greased 9x13 baking pan.



6. Bake fore 30 minutes. Cool completely before frosting.



Instructions for Icing:

1. In a medium size bowl, combine cream cheese, sugar and butter. Mix until smooth.



3. Stir in the vanilla.



4. Spread on cooled pumpkin bars.
